The role of Economic and Trade Department is to support Dutch businesses in their activities in Lithuania and boost overall economic bilateral relations between Lithuania and the Netherlands. This is achieved primarily through an advisory role on country information, matchmaking, organization of events aimed at supporting business and trade and via economic diplomacy. For this purpose, the Economic and Trade Department actively maintains relations with key government institutions and associations.

The Embassy works in close cooperation with the Netherlands Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (EVD), the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Dutch Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) and other relevant organizations.
